Former Manchester United player, Rio Ferdinand has urged the club to make its deal with Odion Ighalo a permanent one.
Ferdinand stated this during an Instagram Q&A where he likened Ighalo's performance to that shown by Henrik Larsson in the 2006/2007 campaign.
Ighalo joined Manchester United in the January transfer window on loan from Chinese side, Shanghai Shenhua, as a backup for injured Marcus Rashford.
He has scored four goals in the eight games he played for the club.
“I think he’s warranted the opportunity to come in as a full-time player and what he’s given Manchester United which they didn’t have is someone they can pass the ball into and can hold it up, he’s got a physical presence, he can hold off a defender or two and lay the ball in for someone else to score,” Ferdinand said.
