Former Super Eagles coach and player, Sunday Oliseh, has said Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, is impotent due to the recent performance displayed by the club.
Oliseh said this after United lost 2-0 to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford, their fifth home loss in their last six Premier League games.
The two goals of the game were delivered in the second half by Jean-Philippe Mateta, lifting Palace to 12th place above 13th placed United.
The loss reminds Amorim that all is not yet okay even after winning three consecutive matches across all competitions,
The Portuguese started the game with Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee on the bench while midfielder Kobbie Mainoo played the role of false nine role.
Despite Mainoo coming close to scoring in the first half when he stroke the post, the home side's attack faded off shortly after the effort.
Reacting, Oliseh lamented the quality of performance United displayed even while at two goals down.
He shared on X, "Come on, This must be classified as a crime the way Manchester United is defending!! 0-2 to Crystal Palace at home in this manner? Boy do i feel sorry for the poor impotent Amorin."
However, Amorim had something different to say about United's performance while addressing official broadcasters.
“The result is really bad. The performance was a little bit better than the last games. I think we controlled better the game, the momentum, how to attack and when to attack. We controlled quite well the transitions from Crystal Palace but we will know they have some expectations and are expecting to win the ball for transitions. The two goals we can avoid and the injury to Licha was hard on the team. We played better than some games but the result tastes nothing good in this moment," he said.
