Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr have signed Jhon Duran from Aston Villa after backing out of the deal for Nigeria's Victor Boniface.
Aston Villa will receive €77m fixed fee plus add-ons as Duran accepted a long term deal with the club.
Duran will have his medical tomorrow and will immediately travel to Saudi Arabia to join the club.
The signing of the 21-year-old shattered what would have seen Boniface become one for he richest footballers in Africa.
Duran and Boniface were both on Al Nassr's raider as the club looked to replace Brazilian Anderson Talisca who transferred to Fernabahce in Turkey.
Boniface was highly tipped as the man to play alongside his idol Cristiano Ronaldo at the club.
He was reported to be set for an annual earning of N23 billion on joining the club from Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.
However, the deal for the Super Eagles striker was called off by Al Nassr who have now opted for Colombian forward Duran.
Meanwhile, Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso has expressed the belief that Boniface will remain with the German side despite interest from English clubs.
