Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter Simisola Bolatito-Kosoko well known as Simi has issued a sincere apology after receiving backlash for wearing a swimsuit to a poolside event, despite being a married woman.
The 'Joromi' crooner shared a video of herself chilling with friends at a poolside event in a swimsuit that revealed some parts of her body.
Some netizens weren't pleased with her outfit and went on to criticize her for wearing such a revealing outfit, reminding her of her marital status.
In response, Simi made a different video rendering an apology, acknowledging her mistake and promising to do better in the future. She emphasized that it was an error on her part and assured that she would not wear such an outfit again.
In addition, she humorously assured that next time, she would wear a kaftan and sit by the poolside out of respect for her husband.
However, some celebrities and netizens felt that her apology was sarcastic.
