Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye popularly known as Simi was born on April 19, 1988, in Ojuelegba, Surulere, Lagos State. Simi is celebrated as a versatile Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress. Growing up as the youngest of four children, she attended Stars International College in Ikorodu before pursuing a degree in mass communication at Covenant University. These formative years set the stage for her eventual entry into the music industry.

Simi embarked on her musical journey in 2008 with her debut studio album "Ogaju," featuring tracks like "Iya Temi" and "Ara Ile."
