Former England international, Peter Crouch has joked that he's eager to get a Nigerian passport after news surfaced that Harry Redknapp is tipped to take over as Super Eagles coach.
The contract of the current Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, will expire at the end of this month and his future with Nigeria looks in doubt.
An insider revealed Redknapp could return to football management and is likely to replace Rohr in Nigeria.
The source told Daily Star Sport: “The feeling is Harry Redknapp will be coming to manage Nigeria soon.”
In a joke on Twitter, Peter Crouch who played under Redknapp at Tottenham, Southampton and Portsmouth stated that he's excited to get a Nigerian passport.
He wrote: “So excited to get my Nigerian passport through today #gosupereagles”.
