Nigerian singer Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, better known as Spyro, has openly backed reality star Rebecca Hampson, often known as Nengi, over accusations made by controversial blogger Gistlover that she had secretly given birth to a child fathered by Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri.

The singer urged the public to stop bullying Nengi and to focus on their own lives in an Instagram post that featured a video montage of her photos. He said that Nengi's child is a great gift from God and praised her beauty as he wrapped up his remarks.

He stated, “Honestly, Ya’ll should please leave her alone and focus on your own lives. That baby is a gift from the Lord and a BIG one at that. BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT always #Nengi.”

The singer's comment comes after Nengi denied any relationship with the governor but confirmed her pregnancy. She expressed her love to her followers and stated that she wanted to enjoy her pregnancy in peace.
