Nigerian singer Oludipe David, popularly known as Spyro, has come to the defense of reality TV star Nengi Thompson amidst recent allegations that she is involved with a governor.

On Monday, February 10, 2025, an anonymous blogger named Gistlover alleged that Nengi is pregnant and that the Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, is responsible for the pregnancy.

Nengi has denied the claims of an affair with the governor but confirmed that she is pregnant.

Spyro, who is known to have a crush on Nengi, took to his page to defend her. He warned Nigerians to leave her alone, as the baby is a gift from the Lord.

He wrote, “Honestly, Ya’ll should please leave her alone and face your lives. That baby is of the Lord and a big gift between. Beautiful in and out, love always.”

His post attracted reactions from Nigerians who asked if he was the father of the baby and not the alleged governor.
