After receiving harsh criticism from Nigerians, popular singer Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, widely known as Ayra Starr, deleted a video of herself dancing to Naira Marley's most recent song, "Pxy Drip (I'm Back)."
The troubles surrounding the Marlians Record label boss, who has faced criticism in the music industry after the passing of his former signee Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, are the cause of the backlash.
On September 12, 2023, Mohbad passed away at the young age of 27. Old footage of him being bullied by Sam Larry, who is connected to Naira Marley, sparked outrage after his death.
After spending some time in police custody, Naira Marley was later cleared of any involvement in Mohbad's death.
On Thursday, February 6, 22-year-old Ayra Starr posted a video on TikTok and Snapchat in which she danced to a new song by Naira Marley.
Many Nigerians criticized the 'Sabi Girl' for dancing to the hit song, labeling the act inappropriate.
The Mavin Records artist removed the video from her TikTok and Snapchat accounts after seeing how upset the public was.
However, the video had already gone viral, and she continues to face backlash.
