Former minister of Women's Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye has joined the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood.
The former minister joined Nollywood a few months after being fired by President Bola Tinubu.
According to reports, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye was named minister in August 2023 and then dismissed on October 23, 2024, along with four other ministers, in a cabinet reshuffle.
Just four months after being kicked out of the government, the 51-year-old lawmaker has now turned her attention to filmmaking.
The former minister posted a video of her most recent endeavor on her X page, announcing her acting career.
Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, a lawyer and businesswoman, joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2015 and became the party's first female presidential candidate in 2023 before leaving to back Tinubu.
