Jean-Clair Todibo has revealed that players at Barcelona are told to be gentle around Lionel Messi during training.

According to Todibo who is on loan at Schalke, players have to be gentle around the Argentine to prevent him from sustaining injury.

“Everyone in the team was very aware that Messi could not be injured. During training sessions, you have to defend him with caution", Todibo said.

“I learned a lot training alongside Leo Messi and I stole the ball from him once making sure not to do him any damage.”

Messi who is Barcelona's most important player currently stands as Spanish La Liga's highest goal scorer with 14 goals.
