Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade says the team is still in high spirits despite losing the friendly game to Canada ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games.
The African giants lost by a lone goal in their only test game before the Olympics.
An error by Deborah Abiodun led to Jordyn Huitema's eight-minute winner.
Despite the defeat, Ajibade who is a senior member of the team said there are loads of positives to take away.
“It was not a bad test match, we lost 1-0 but it was not a bad one, we had good moments in the game but we did not utilize our chances,” Ajibade was quoted by Afrik Foot.
“Yeah, it was a good game to help us prepare ahead of the tournament, so now we know what we need to work on and move forward.”
Randy Waldrum’s side will open their campaign in Paris 2024 against Brazil at the Stade Bordeaux next week Thursday.
