Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr have started official talks for Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen player Victor Boniface.
According to football transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano, negotiations are ongoing with Bayer Leverkusen for the striker to replace Talisca.
The other candidate on Al Nassr's raider is Jhon Durán, "but Aston Villa still insist on keeping him at the club," Romano said.
According to Sky Germany, Bayer Leverkusen are open to letting Boniface leave this month with clubs from Saudi Arabia and the Premier League showing interest.
After the failed attempt to bring Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez to Saudi Arabia, several clubs are said to be interested in Boniface as the second option if they cannot convince Nunez to move before deadline day.
Leverkusen are aware of the interest in Boniface from the Arabian peninsula and England. Die Werkself does not consider Boniface unsellable but will demand €50m from the buying club.
The Nigerian is currently on the way back from a thigh injury that he picked up during the November international break.
The 24-year-old is back in training for Bayer Leverkusen after spending almost two months on the sidelines with a thigh injury.
The German champions shared a picture of the player working out on the grass on Monday with the caption, "Look who's back."
