Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has said Nigeria should not expect any easy game after being drawn in Group C of the 2025 AFCON scheduled to be held in Morocco this December.
The Eagles will go against Tanzania, Uganda and Tunisia to make it out of the group to the next round of the tournament.
The last tournament in Ivory Coast saw the Eagles lose to the host country in the final in 2024.
However, Troost-Ekong believes that the team has learnt from that event and will do everything possible to go all the way in Morocco.
"The AFCON 2025 draw is now over. It's very exciting to see the new group. Tunisia, Uganda and Tanzania are three teams that need to be respected," Troost-Ekong told the Nigerian Football Federation.
"I think we have the experience now to know how to handle these situations. There's no such thing as an easy game in Africa; I stand by that.
"But I believe we have everything in our team to come out of this group and this time go all the way.
"We learnt so much last year from the AFCON in Abidjan but this time we'll be more ready and work out throughout the year to make sure that everyone is fit and ready."
The 31-year-old also revealed that his fellow teammates are looking forward to working under the new coach, Eric Chelle.
