A total of ten countries have so far booked their place at the next edition of the African Cup of Nations.
Defending champions Cote d'Ivoire and Equatorial Guinea became the latest countries to secure qualification for the Nations Cup without kicking a ball in the penultimate round of the qualifiers.
With nine points in four games, the Elephants are poised to finish at the top of Group G after Sierra Leone drew 1-1 with Chad on Wednesday, November 13.
Zambia are second in the group with seven points after four games. Sierra Leone have five points with a game left to play, while Chad have been eliminated.
Equatorial Guinea also qualified following Liberia's 1-0 victory over Togo in Group E. Equatorial Guinea sit on seven points from their four matches, while Liberia have four points from five games and Togo have two.
Cote d'Ivoire and Equatorial Guinea join the likes of Algeria, Cameroon, Angola, Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Morocco, and Senegal as teams who have already sealed qualification for the tournament.
As the qualifiers continue today (Thursday, November 14), Nigeria, Tunisia, and Sudan are the countries looking likely to confirm their place in Morocco next year.
