Vice President Kashim Shettima has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC), performed poorly in Southern Kaduna, Kaduna State.
His words appear as a jab against the former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, who recently dumped the APC for the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
El-Rufai governed Kaduna for eight years, during which the people of Southern Kaduna witnessed several killings by herdsmen and bandits.
However, Shettima noted that President Bola Tinubu’s administration has demonstrated leadership and fostered development in Southern Kaduna.
He said,“He (Tinubu) has shown leadership. He has shown magnanimity. He has demonstrated the ability to reach across the aisle and embrace all political tendencies.
“Just two weeks ago, he (Tinubu) signed the bill for the establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences in Kachia, Kaduna State.
“You and I know that, in terms of performance, the APC performed woefully in Southern Kaduna, but leadership is about inclusivity.”
