Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has paid a visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna, Kaduna State.

In his entourage were former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, former Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aminu Tambuwal, among others.

Though the purpose of the visit has not been made public, it may not be unconnected to the 2027 presidential election.

The visit comes days after some governor on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) visited Buhari.

The APC governors, according to reports, pleaded with the former president to ensure that he and his bloc of supporters remain in the ruling party and support President Bola Tinubu.

Their visit was ensured despite Buhari issuing an assurance that he will always support Tinubu, adding that he's glad to be associated with him.
