Carlo Ancelotti led Real Madrid to their 15th Champion League title on Saturday, June 1, at Wembley.

The title means the Italian has now won five Champions League titles, extending his record as the coach with the most UCL titles.

Former Nigeria coach, Jose Peseiro, has described how Ancelotti manages to win year after year.

The Spanish giants defeated German side Borussia Dortmund thanks to late goals from veteran defender, Dani Carvajal and Brazil winger, Vinicius Junior.

It was a familiar story for Real Madrid and Ancelotti, and they secured a record-extending 15th Champions League.

Peseiro said Ancelotti's brilliance lies in his ability to motivate his players, which he believes is a great attribute of a good coach.

“Ancelotti has won five Champions Leagues, and the secret lies in the locker room,” Peseiro said via Soccernet.

“It’s not about having the best squad but how they manage it. The mystique and order in the team, along with a fantastic game plan, make the difference. Ancelotti builds teams to win; he has motivation, responsibility, and the qualities of a great coach.”

The Portuguese tactician added that the Real Madrid culture helps them stay competitive every season.

“Real Madrid has a culture of renewal. Important players leave, but the team continues to thrive. They’re always looking for top talents like Bellingham, Vinícius, and possibly Mbappé.”

Peseiro was close to leading the Super Eagles to their fourth Africa Cup of Nations title in February, but they fell short in the final.
