Arsenal Women produced a sensational comeback in Lyon, securing a 4-1 victory over the eight-time Champions League winners and overturning a 2-1 first-leg deficit to reach their first Champions League final in 18 years.
The Gunners will now face holders Barcelona in the showpiece event.
Arsenal under the guidance of Renee Slegers, the team delivered a magnificent performance against one of Europe's giants.
An own goal in the opening five minutes set the tone for an uncharacteristically poor display from Lyon. While Mariona Caldentey's stunning strike momentarily levelled the tie on aggregate, goals from Alessia Russo and Caitlin Foord after the break sealed an impressive and deserved victory for Arsenal.
A jubilant Renee Slegers lauded her team's performance, saying, "We were unbelievable in a high-pressure moment against a top opponent. How calm we were - there's so much work put into this game, I'm so happy. Delighted for everyone.
She continued, "It's euphoria, such a special moment. So happy and we need to celebrate these special moments but also stay humble and we get ready for the next one."
Arsenal's journey to the final has been a long and arduous one, stretching back to the qualifying rounds in September. They have now played a record 14 Champions League matches this season.
Despite Chelsea's dominance in the Women's Super League, Arsenal have achieved what their rivals could not, overturning a first-leg deficit against top European opposition. While Lyon were admittedly below their best, Arsenal capitalized ruthlessly, securing their first away win in a two-legged European semi-final.
