Dino Melaye, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has come under intense criticism after showcasing the new look of his mansion in Abuja.

In the video, the former Senator gave followers a tour of his customized gate, then proceeded to his car park where his luxury cars were parked.

"Entrance, facade, and the entire residence of Dino Melaye's mansion in Abuja with a fresh look," he captioned the video shared on Instagram and Facebook.

Melaye was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the November 11, 2023, governorship election in Kogi State.

The former lawmaker received 46,362 votes, placing him behind Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), who scored 446,237 and 259,052 votes respectively.

Some followers believe his recent actions only serve to demonstrate that he would have been more extravagant if he had won the gubernatorial elections.

Below are some Nigerians' reactions to the video: Bassey Asuquo wrote: "This man would have been more reckless than Bello had he succeeded as governor. He's gradually becoming a big nuisance, even to himself!"

Hameed Bello posited: "I do not get moved by things like this as long as the sources are not known or verifiable. People should only clap for those whose wealth is seen to be a result of their hard work in life.

Vicky Stability Amiokam commented: "I'm happy that Kogi people did not make the mistake of making you their Governor."

official_kendy said: "It's only thieves that live this kind of lifestyle.... Embezzlement."

unclelaposh commented: "Vanity upon vanity."
