Paschal Obi, a member of the House of Representatives representing Ideato North and South Federal Constituency, has defected from the Labour Party (LP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Obi was welcomed to the APC by the state executives led by Macdonald Ebere after he formalized his membership at the ward and LGA levels.

In his speech, Obi mentioned that he was encouraged to return to the APC due to the massive infrastructural development efforts of the APC-led Hope Uzodinma government.

He also extended his appreciation to the APC party leadership led by Ebere. He applauded him for his excellent leadership, which according to him, culminated to wonderful performances of the party at the grassroots as observed during the last LGA election.

The former lawmaker assured the executive members of the party of his continuous support and loyalty to the party.

Before now, Obi was a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). He later joined APC, then left for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, joined LP and now back to APC.
