Controversial social media commentator Martin Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has criticized Reno Omokri after his viral photo with President Bola Tinubu.

Reno Omokri, a leading member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) recently shared on his social media pages that he spent Independence Day with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa on October 1.

The photo sparked mixed reactions on social media, with speculation that it could pave the way for a defection, as Daniel Bwala, a spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar, suggested earlier this year.

Omokri, who was a fierce critic of President Bola Tinubu before the 2023 elections, changed his tone after the polls and has consistently supported the policies of the current administration.

In a video on his Instagram page, VeryDarkMan questioned why Reno Omokri would agree to meet with President Bola Tinubu when he had previously called him a drug lord and a thief before his appearance at Chatham House.

He suggested that Omokri's recent visit justified his ongoing personal attacks on Peter Obi.

"Are you not the one who said President Tinubu was a drug lord? Reno Omokri, what are you doing with a drug lord or the person you call a drug lord? Do you want to learn how to sell drugs?" he asked.

"You can see that you lack integrity and I won't act as if I dont know that you beg people because you want to see Tinubu. I know some people that you begged, I know some people that you begged that you want to see Tinubu."

"In 2023 you were campaigning strongly for Atiku. I know politics is a dirty game but at least have integrity. So all the attacks on Peter Obi, this is what you are looking for?"
