Kehinde Edun, the legal adviser of the Julius Abure-led faction of the Labour Party claims Peter Obi, the party's presidential candidate in the 2023 elections has mended his relationship with the embattled chairman.

Edun made the claim during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

“I believe so. He hasn’t made any categorical statement about that. He hasn’t said he has left the party.

“Yes, he’s with us, and I believe he’s speaking with Abure. That’s what I know and believe,” he said when asked if Peter Obi is now back with Abure.

Recall that the Labour Party has been embroiled in a leadership crisis with Abure at the center of the controversy.
