He is a tribalistic trader who only cares about his own people' - Reno Omokri on why he is against Peter Obi

Reno Omokri, a former presidential spokesperson, has revealed why he is against Peter Obi's presidential ambitions, a former presidential candidate.

Omokri, who was once an ally of Peter Obi, turned against the former Anambra governor when he chose to run on the Labour Party ticket in the 2023 presidential elections.

He has insisted on several occasions that Obi's departure and the crisis in Rivers State led to the party's defeat in the polls.

In a recent post on his X account, Reno Omokri claims that Obi is a "tribalistic trader who only cares about his own people" and that he "has a hidden agenda to wage war against the Muslim Ummah."

It sounds somehow when Obidients say I am using Peter Obi to gain popularity. Really? I was voted the most influential businessperson on the Internet in Africa by an international audience of one of the world's top business magazines, Business Insider. I was voted, not awarded. I had votes from EVERY African country.

My closest competitor in that poll was Vusi Thembekwayo, a multimillionaire South African businessman. Yet, with all of the xenophobia directed at Nigerians in that country, I still got significant votes from South Africa.

My book was a number-one bestseller in two categories. Has Peter Obi even written a book, let alone a successful one?

I am against Peter Obi because he is a tribalistic trader who only cares about his own people and has a hidden agenda to wage war against the Muslim Ummah. And when placed on the hot seat to be asked about his plans for Nigeria, his emptiness and lack of grasp on the issues becomes even more apparent.

This is a man who loses his voice when tragedy occurs in his own geopolitical zone and finds it again when it happens outside Igboland. His initials, P. Obi, might as well be rearranged as IPOB. That is why he lied to Nigerians that there is a subsisting court judgment ordering the release of the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

Contrary to Peter Obi's IPOB-inspired lies, in a unanimous ruling on December 15, 2023, the Supreme Court ruled that Nnamdi Kanu had a case to answer for treason. After that, on May 20, 2024, the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja ruled that Nnamdi Kanu should be denied bail.

I will not sit down and watch a man who built two loss-making breweries but did not build a single nursery, primary, secondary school or university during his eight-year tenure as Anambra Governor grandstand that he has all the answers to Nigeria's challenges.

And it is impossible for me to be bullied into silence by his horde of Obidient rudapests!
