Content creation is becoming prominent in Nigeria, with creators raking in cash on platforms like TikTok, YouTube, X, Spotify, and others.

Several Nigerians, including celebrities, students, and others, have turned to content creation as a way to earn money.

In 2024, Nigerian artists made a cool N50 billion in royalties just from Spotify.

That's way up from the year before – more than double! Jocely Muhutu, who runs Spotify Africa, said it's because Nigerian music is blowing up worldwide, and Spotify is trying to back the artists.

People all over, from Oslo to Tokyo, are getting into Nigerian tunes, with YouTube being a goldmine for many.

Preacher Jerry Eze, who started Streams of Joy International, made over N7 billion between 2019 and 2025. His online prayer sessions pull in millions, and he once made N21 million in a day.

Comedian Mark Angel is another big earner, reportedly pulling in $4.2 million a year by 2023.

Christian Kedibe made N23 million in four years. The word is, if you want to make money, create good videos that people care about because video platforms keep growing.

Also, Meta and X are giving Nigerians ways to get paid by trying new things to get money from their work.
