Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has expressed his displeasure over a misleading headline associating his name with kidnappers.

Reports indicate that a video shared on social media showed three suspected kidnappers apprehended in Lagos. A blog captioned it, “Davido and two others apprehended for kidnapping in Lagos.” It was later revealed that “Davido” was the nickname of the gang leader.

The headline caused a stir as fans mistakenly attributed the article to the singer. In response to the incident, Davido threatened to take action against the blog.

The singer indicated that karma would soon catch up with peddlers of misleading headlines.

Reposting the news on his X page, Davido wrote, “One day go be one day… Continue. My karma no dey always tey.”
