An old video has surfaced on social media where Davido expressed his love for his colleague Wizkid. He made this statement during an interview with Big Brother Naija host, Ebuka.

Davido mentioned that he believes the intense competition between them caused the feud.

The “Stand Strong” hitmaker pointed out that he loves the “Ojuelegba” singer and noted that Wizkid feels the same way about him.

“I love Wizkid bro and I know he loves me too. I would describe my relationship with Wizkid right now as no stress.

Honestly, I think for me dropping my first album, things started like shaking.”

When Ebuka asked if he thinks they are competitive, he replied, “Of course, definitely.” Adding that he believes Wizkid also felt that.

Davido added, “He knows that and that could be the only reason why he be vexing at me. Cause I’ve never done anything. It’s the competition that caused it.”

Wizkid recently went on his social media page to express his displeasure at Davido for choosing to release a snippet of his upcoming song on the same day he planned to release his song.

This led to a series of outbursts from Wizkid, who did not hesitate to lash out at anyone and everyone.
