Controversial street singer Habeeb Okikiola often known as Portable, has apologized for slapping a pastor who was supposed to offer a sermon at his bar.

Recall that the singer was seen on camera slapping a pastor a few days ago.

After the attack, preachers and internet users threatened to take legal action against Portable for attacking a man of God over what they called assault and harassment.

However, in a video he posted around midnight on Monday, September 16, 2024, Portable addressed the uproar and explained his behaviour by citing prior experiences.

He explained that he attacked the pastor because he believed he was there to damage him spiritually while pleading with God for forgiveness.

He said, “My fans, community issues are different from that of the street. May God forgive me. I didn’t know he was a genuine man of God. If I knew I wouldn’t have slapped him.

“I’m also a child of God. I’m human, I’m not perfect. I am an orphan. They have harmed my sister through this same strategy.”
