The cause of death of gospel singer Aduke Gold has been made public by her family.

Recall that news broke on Monday, August 12, 2024, that the gospel singer had passed away at the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan.

Social media users' reactions to her sudden death were varied, and her admirers and fellow industry professionals are still in a state of mourning.

A widely circulated rumour shortly after Aduke Gold passed away purportedly stated that she passed away while undergoing fibroid surgery.

However, in response to the scandals surrounding the singer's unexpected passing, her brother, pastor Ajayi Aderogbo, denied the story and cautioned that people have to confirm information before spreading falsehoods.

According to the hospital's death certificate, Pastor Ajayi said in a video that is currently spreading on social media that Aduke passed away from cervical cancer.

He said, “Whoever is saying what is not should stop it, our daughter was ill, she had cervical cancer, she was taken to UCH in Ibadan and unfortunately, she died. The information spreading around is false.”
