Actress Hilda Dokubo has expressed shock and disappointment at the President’s declaration of a State of Emergency in Rivers State.

On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, Tinubu suspended Rivers Governor Sim Fubara and his deputy along with the members of the House of Representatives for six months following the political crisis rocking the state.

The President also nominated Vice Admiral Ibokette Ibas (rtd) as the administrator of the State.

This move has angered many Nigerians who have taken to social media to share their thoughts.

Politician Hilda Dokubo condemned the declaration, describing it as shameless.

On her Insta story, Hilda Dokubo wrote, “State of emergency because for two years, we have had peace! State of emergency because you want to capture the economic soul of Rivers State! State of emergency because of one man? Shameless! Perhaps Mr President should say he wants to annexed Rivers State!”
