Veteran actress Ngozi Ezeonu, has received backlash following her condolence message to her late colleague Nkechi Nweje.
Her condolence message comes after producer Stanley took to social media to announce Nweje’s passing.
Stanley stated that although he had been aware of her demise for hours, he was unable to share it because it felt like a dream to him. The producer mentioned that Nkechi died after a short illness.
Ngozi Ezeonu, on her part, took to her page to share a post about her late colleague’s death. She revealed that she was not aware of her ill health and described her as one of the nicest people she met in Nollywood.
The actress wrote, "It is so difficult to believe you are gone ezigbo nwanyi onicha. I never knew you were ill. So I will never see your ever smiling face again. Nkechi, you were one of the nicest people I met in Nollywood. This is indeed a big blow. GO WELL MY BEAUTIFUL SISTER."
Her post did not sit well with many who slammed her for claiming not to be aware of her colleague’s ill health.
