Ngozi Ezeonu hails from Ogbunike in Anambra State, Nigeria. She was born on May 23, 1965, in Owerri, Imo State to Dennis and Ezenwanyi Ikpelue and has six siblings. Before taking up a career in acting, she studied Journalism at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism and worked for Radio Lagos and Eko Fm.

She began her acting journey in the early 1990s and quickly rose to prominence with her exceptional talent and captivating performances.
