Dare Fasasi, better known as Baba Dee, the late Sound Sultan's brother, recently shared his thoughts on the early days of Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid in the music industry.
Fasasi, a singer and actor, stated that Wizkid was more than just a studio rat when he began singing. He made this statement during a recent interview on Teju Babyface's show.
Baba Dee pointed out that Wizkid achieved what most artistes in Nigeria have not been able to.
The actor mentioned that his late brother, Sound Sultan, was interested in signing Wizkid back then, but Bankole Wellington, aka Banky W, ended up signing him.
Baba Dee also emphasised that the ‘Morayo’ crooner got free studio sessions and was a very cool guy. He believed that everyone has their own time to shine and do great things.
His comment has attracted several reactions.
