Fortunate Umarname Peter, renowned photographer and personal photographer of talented Nigerian artiste, Davido has recounted a life-changing lesson he had while working with the artiste.
According to Peter, he had mistakenly cleared a high profile photograph he took of Davido and a Nigerian senator.
“I can’t remember, but I think there was a particular shoot that I actually missed at a point but I don’t know how it actually happened and I feel after that I really learnt a lot. Like being aware of the things I do with my camera.
“I took some photographs … like we went out, went to like the government function … we went to talk to a senator. So, this particular picture didn’t come out.
“I thought I had copied the pictures on my hard drive but after I thought I copied it to my hard drive, I formatted my camera. I went back to my laptop to check my hard drive. I was unable to find this particular photo ... I copied the wrong file,” he narrated.
He added that he had learnt a lot from the experience and will do well to check that he properly backs up his photographs before deleting them.
“I learnt a lot from that that whenever I want to format my memory card, I make sure that everything is copied. Everything is well backed up,” he concluded.
