Yetunde Abdulkareem, wife of afro-hip hop singer Eedris Abdulkareem was honored at the All Yoruba Heroes of Excellence Tribute Awards 2024.

On Saturday, October 19, 2024, the Yoruba Community Ghana – TC Awards celebrated the achievements of past and present Yoruba heroes. The memorable event, which attracted notable Yoruba figures from within and outside Ghana, was held at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra, Ghana.

Just like other nominees, Mrs. Abdulkareem, notable for her selflessness and kindness, was specially invited to the event and nominated for the prestigious Yoruba Heroes of Excellence Award.

Her nomination was in recognition of her incredible act of love and sacrifice, having donated one of her kidneys to save her husband’s life.

Upon receiving the award, Mrs. Abdulkareem expressed sincere gratitude to the Yoruba community in Ghana, her family, and everyone who supported her during her down times.

"I want to say thank you to the Yoruba community in Ghana for this beautiful award. Thank you to my family, friends, and everyone who supported me and my husband during our surgery. God bless everyone." She said.
