The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has lauded Israel Adesanya over his title defense against Yoel Romero.
Nigerian International, Adesanya retained his UFC middleweight championship belt yesterday after defeating Yoel Romero by a unanimous decision.
The commission which was proud of the feat sent him a congratulatory message, praising the Nigerian-New Zealander professional kickboxer.
"Congratulations to our own Israel Adesanya, who retained his UFC middleweight championship against Yoel Romero.
"Adesanya is a Nigerian-New Zealander professional mixed martial artist, kickboxer, and boxer. He is the former Glory middleweight contender winner.
And also King in the Ring two-time cruiserweight and heavyweight champion, which is the most titles in King in the Ring history," the Nigerian in Diaspora commission said in a statement.
