Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri Erewa has met with the Mayor of Tampa, Florida at the Nigeria America Business Forum.

This was revealed in a tweet by the ex- journalist and lawmaker.

Explaining the reason for the meeting, Dabiri said it was to dscuss ways of bringing diaspora investments back home.

She also noted that the outing was impressive as the NIDCOM boss expressed optimism of the results thereafter.

Jane Castor is a 59-year-old former police chief who ran for the opposition of Mayor in Tampa and crushed her opponent, David Straz, a retired bank who rang against her. She became the city's first openly gay mayor and the first gay woman to lead a major Florida city.
