The Chairman of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri, on Wednesday, donated some Personal Protective Equipment to the Ikorodu General Hospital, in support of the fight against COVID-19 and protection of frontline health workers.
Receiving the donated items on behalf of the hospital, the Medical Director, General Hospital, Ikorodu, Dr Adenike Odubiyi, expressed her appreciation to the NIDCOM boss, thanking her for the kind gesture which will be of immense use to health workers at the facility.
She, however, called on other well-meaning organisations and indigenes of Ikorodu to emulate the donor’s thoughtful gesture by supporting the hospital in its efforts to combat the deadly pandemic.
Dr Abimbola Okudero, Director of Clinical Sciences, General Hospital, Ikorodu, equally applauded the donation and promised that the protective equipment would be used judiciously.
