The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has said that all passengers must arrive at the airport three hours before the time of their scheduled flight.
FAAN stated this ahead of the reopening of airports which have been shut for months due to coronavirus pandemic.
"Flight Resumption Protocol for Passengers: You are advised to arrive at the airport 3 hours before your flight due to the new COVID-19 safety checks", a tweet read.
MyNigeria.com reported that FAAN announced a few days ago that passengers must wear a face mask before they can be allowed into airport terminals.
"You must wear a face mask to be able to gain access into the terminal building", FAAN disclosed on Twitter.
Meanwhile, five airports have been approved for resumption by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
The airports include Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja, Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos, Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport Kano, Omagwa International Airport, Port Harcourt and Sam Mbakwe Airport Owerri.
