President of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina has clocked the golden age of 60 today.
Adesina who was full of gratitude to God, penned a heart-warming message to his family, friends, and supporters in Nigeria and Africa.
He took to his Twitter page and posted:
"I stayed up to thank God as I turned 60. Thank you, God for 6 decades of your faithfulness. For who I am, for what you have done for me, for family, for friends and all who support me in Nigeria, in Africa and all around the world, God, I owe them all to you. Thank you, God!"

Reacting to President Muhammadu Buhari's wishes on his birthday, he noted that he was indeed grateful and humbled by the endeavor.
"Thank you very much Your Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari for your kind and touching words of congratulations as I turned 60! I am most grateful and humbled by such honor," Adesina said.

Akinwumi Akin Adesina is the President of the African Development Bank. He previously served as Nigeria's Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. Until his appointment as Minister in 2010, he was Vice President of Policy and Partnerships for the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa. In 2015, he was elected as the President of the African Development Bank. He was the first Nigerian to hold the post.
