The Kenyan police have arrested four men, known to be of Chinese citizenships, for assaulting a Kenyan last week.
Although their identities have not been made public as at the time of this report, one of them - a chef at a local restaurant - was filmed while caning a Kenyan worker.
According to a local TV station, who released the footage of the incident, the Kenyan- a waiter - was flogged at the Chez Wou Restaurant in Kileleshwa, Nairobi for allegedly "reporting late to work".

The Kenyan police, as a result, followed up on the case and raided the restaurant only to find out that only one of the Chinese nationals had a work permit.
In a tweet, the police said, "Eight Kenyans who work at the hotel were also escorted to Kilimani Police Station for further interrogation," the police said.
The Chinese embassy in Kenya tweeted that it was aware of the video and that it "supports" investigations by Kenyan authorities:
