South Africans have shown Zozibini Tunzi, who was crowned as Miss Universe in December last year, that there is no place like home after fans thronged out to give her a warm reception.
Zozobini arrived at her home town for the first time since her victory at the Miss Universe event held last year in Atlanta, USA.
She was described by Miss Universe as "a proud advocate for natural beauty".
According to the BBC, Zozibini arrived from New York and went to several welcome home parties.
She tweeted a video of fans at O R Tambo International Airport welcoming her:

She was accompanied by her parents during an event at a stadium in her hometown, Mthatha in the Eastern Cape.
