Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has expressed the team's readiness ahead of their crucial encounter against Rwanda.

The Super Eagles held their first training session for the qualifier on Tuesday, March 18.

Eric Chelle's side held another training session at the Amahoro Stadium training ground on Wednesday night.

Ekong has disclosed that the team is highly motivated for the big task ahead on Friday, March 21.

“Everything has been good—our first training session, all the boys are in camp, and we’re fired up. Of course, we know we have a big job ahead. It comes with pressure, but I keep saying to everyone that this pressure is a privilege, so all the boys are feeling that,” he told the Super Eagles media team.

The Al-Khalood defender emphasized that the Super Eagles will not underestimate the Amavubi considering their position on the table.

“Of course, we have to respect them for their position on the table, and I think we understand what they want to do.

“They have a new coach as well, so it’s going to be a very competitive match. We’re just trying to break it down and focus on the things we can control,” he added.
