Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has backed the team as they prepare for the crucial FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Musa was dropped from the final 23-man squad by Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle after being included in the initial 39-man provisional list.

Despite not making the cut, the 32-year-old has backed the team to secure victories against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

“The team is one, and any player called upon to represent the Super Eagles must give their all. I am fully behind the team and will be cheering them on to victory in these World Cup qualifiers,” Musa told Modzerosport.

Musa's most recent appearance for the Super Eagles was during the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire.

The Super Eagles are set to face Rwanda on Friday, March 21, in Kigali before hosting Zimbabwe four days later.
