Nigerian international Nathan Tella has expressed frustration over Bayer Leverkusen's goalless draw against Bayern Munich in the German Bundesliga on Saturday, February 15.

The 25-year-old believes his side deserved more from the game than the draw.

Xabi Alonso's side was the dominant side on the day and came close to scoring by hitting the woodwork twice.

The one-capped Super Eagles star stated that he is proud of his side's performance despite the barren scoreline.

“It’s frustrating not to get the three points. But as a team, we can be proud of how we played. I think we were the better team,” Tella told the club’s official website.

“If we had scored a goal, we would have underlined our dominance. Unfortunately, some games are like that, you don’t manage to score.”

Tella has made 18 appearances for Leverkusen in the Bundesliga this season.
