Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has shared his thoughts on Ademola Lookman's injury ahead of their UEFA Champions League encounter against Atalanta.
Gian Piero Gasperini's side will miss the inspiration of their star man when they take on the Spanish giants at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in the final round of the UCL league phase on Wednesday, January 29.
Lookman sustained a knee injury during training and is set to spend the coming weeks on the sidelines.
Speaking on Lookman's injury, Barça boss Flick stated that it is not easy for any team to be without their star player, but he believes Gasperini's side can cope without the Super Eagles star.
“Of course, when you lose an important player, it’s not easy. But I think Gasperini knows his team well,” he told a press conference.
“For me, I usually don’t focus on one or two players, but I always look at the team as a whole and its performances.”
Lookman has managed four goals and two assists in six UEFA Champions League matches this season.
