Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has disclosed that Nigerian international Victor Osimhen will not be forced to leave the club.

Osimhen, 25, has been in blistering form since joining the Turkish Super Lig giants from Napoli on a season-long loan last September.

The Super Eagles striker has so far registered nine goals and five assists in 12 appearances across all competitions for Okan Buruk's side.

With a break clause inserted in Osimhen's contract, the reigning African Footballer of the Year can leave Turkey in January with the right offer.

However, the Galatasaray president insists that the Super Eagles striker will remain at the club for the remainder of the season.

“He is our player this season. There is a very difficult clause for him to leave at mid-season. According to our agreement, he will play for us until the end of the season,” Özbek told A Spor.

“No one should bend him. He will make his own decision at the end of the season. If he wants to continue at Galatasaray, he can.”
