France legend Thierry Henry could not hold back his laughter when former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher mispronounced Victor Boniface’s name while on punditry duty on CBS Sports.
The former Arsenal and Barcelona star was on set sharing his expert analysis of the UEFA Champions League clash between Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan at the Bay Arena on Tuesday night, alongside Carragher and former Manchester City defender Micah Richards.
While analyzing the game, Carragher mistakenly pronounced Boniface as “Bonifacey,” a blunder which triggered a funny facial expression from Thierry Henry.
Co-pundit Micah Richards drew Carragher’s attention to the mistake before all three of them burst out into laughter.
Victor Boniface scored the only goal as the Bundesliga title holders beat Milan 1-0 on matchday 2.
It was the first UEFA Champions League goal for the Nigerian international, who joined Xabi Alonso’s team from Royal Union SG last season.
