Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior has emerged as the winner of the 2024 Ballon d’Or award.
Reports indicate that the French Football Magazine has informed the Brazilian international that he is the winner of the prestigious award.
The reports further added that Real Madrid’s duo of Vinicius and Jude Bellingham were in close contention for the coveted prize, with Dani Carvajal and Kylian Mbappe finishing ahead of Manchester City’s Rodri.
Vinicius has become the first Brazilian international to win the coveted prize in 17 years since former AC Milan star Kaka in 2007.
The 24-year-old won the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, Spanish Super Cup, and the European Super Cup with Los Blancos.
