Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly close to appointing Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca as their next head coach.
According to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have engaged in positive talks with Maresca, who is convinced about the club's project.
It's believed that Chelsea will pay over €10m in compensation fees to Leicester City for Maresca's services.
Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino recently parted ways with the Blues based on mutual consent, following a season where Chelsea finished in 6th position in the Premier League.
Maresca, aged 44, previously guided Leicester City back to the Premier League after winning the EFL Championship, with Super Eagles stars Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho playing key roles.
The Italian tactician joined Leicester City in June 2023, replacing Brendan Rodgers. He signed a three-year deal with the Foxes.
